How It Actually Works

1

Access granted

An Admin grants or resets a specific client contact's portal login -- a client isn't logged in by default just because they exist as a CRM record.

2

Client signs in

The client logs in with their own credentials and sees only their own projects, invoices, payments, and proposals -- scoped strictly to their own clientId.

3

Proposal signed or declined

A client can sign a proposal directly in the portal (their name and request metadata recorded with the signature) or explicitly decline it -- both are real, timestamped actions, not an emailed PDF you have to chase.

4

Access revoked

An Admin can revoke portal access at any time, immediately cutting off login without deleting the client's underlying records.

Getting Started

  1. 1Enable Client Portal from the Module Marketplace
  2. 2Grant portal access per client contact from the CRM record -- each grant is a deliberate action, not an automatic side effect of creating the client
