Industry CloudReal — shipped

Civil Engineering Cloud: real test results, real document control.

Material test reports — concrete cubes, soil samples, steel rebar — with a real pass/fail/retest result, plus revision-controlled engineering-document control through a real draft-to-superseded lifecycle, on top of the same Projects, CRM, and Files every FlashCat.ai organization already runs.

The Problem

A test result you can't find later isn't a test result.

Civil engineering runs on two things a generic Files folder can't do: a real pass/fail result on a material sample, and real document control over calculations and specifications as they move from draft to approved. Losing track of either is how rework and disputes happen.

A concrete cube's test result lives in a lab's PDF, disconnected from the project it belongs to.
"Which revision of the load calculation is approved" is answered by searching an inbox, not a status field.
Nothing distinguishes a draft calculation from an approved one once both are just files in a folder.
How It Works

From sample to signed-off document

Both modules attach to the same Project — the site the firm is engineering for.

Step 1

Log the material test

Material type, sample reference, and who tested it — a real record, not a lab PDF nobody links back to the project.

Step 2

Record the result

Pass, fail, or retest — a real, queryable status per sample, with the actual result value captured.

Step 3

Draft the engineering document

Calculations, specifications, method statements — a real document number and revision, unique per project.

Step 4

Move it through document control

Draft through under review, approved, or superseded — a real, structured status the whole team can trust.

Use Cases

Where this shows up in your day

Civil Engineers

Need to know which document revision is actually approved.

A real status per document, not a filename guess.

Site Engineers

Need to log a failed test and trigger a retest.

A real FAIL -> RETEST record, not a verbal note.

Surveyors

Need every material test tied to the right project.

Test reports scoped per project, never mixed up.

Multi-Site Firms

Run several civil engineering projects at once.

Tests and documents are scoped per project independently.

Walkthrough

One sample, one document, real status throughout

1

A concrete cube sample is logged against a project, with a sample reference and the testing lab noted.

2

The result comes back and is recorded as FAIL — a real, visible status, not a note lost in email.

3

A retest is logged and this time PASSES at 32 MPa — the actual result value is captured, not just a pass/fail flag.

4

Meanwhile, a foundation load calculation document is drafted, moves to Under Review, and is marked Approved.

5

A later revision supersedes it — the whole team can see exactly which document and which test result is current.

Projects & Tasks

Material tests and engineering documents attach to the same Project record used for scheduling and client communication.

Structural Consultants Cloud

A consultancy inspecting finished structural work (not testing raw materials or controlling engineering documents) uses Structural Drawings and Audits instead.
