Laboratory Cloud: a report never reaches a patient unverified.
Test orders tracked from ordered through sample collection to completion, and lab reports gated on pathologist verification before release to the patient — on top of Healthcare Cloud's real Patients and Appointments modules.

Hardcoded Industry Logic
A result that skips verification is a mistake waiting to reach a patient.
A diagnostic lab needs two things a generic task board can't give it: a real specimen-to-result pipeline per test, and a report that literally cannot reach a patient until a pathologist has verified it — not a policy someone has to remember to follow.
From ordered test to released report
The report can't move forward without the gate in front of it opening first.
Order the test
Test type and patient, a real record from the moment it's ordered — not a verbal request.
Track it to completion
Sample collected, in progress, completed, or cancelled — a real, queryable pipeline status.
Draft the report
Only once the order is completed — the system won't let a report be drafted before the test is actually done.
Verify, then release
A pathologist must verify a draft report before it can be released to the patient — an enforced gate, not a policy.
Where this shows up in your day
Lab Directors
Need to see every test's status across the whole lab.
A real pipeline status per order, not a whiteboard.
Pathologists
Need to verify findings before anything reaches a patient.
A report literally can't be released until they verify it.
Lab Technicians
Need to mark a sample collected and move it along.
One status update, visible to the whole team instantly.
Multi-Site Labs
Track many patients' orders simultaneously.
Every order and report scoped correctly, never mixed up.
One test, gated all the way to release
A Complete Blood Count is ordered for a patient — a real TestOrder record, status Ordered.
The sample is collected, then testing begins — status moves to Sample Collected, then In Progress.
Results come back and the order moves to Completed — only now can a report be drafted against it.
The report is drafted with findings, but stays in Draft until a pathologist verifies it.
Once verified, the report can finally be released to the patient — a real, timestamped record of who verified it and when.
Part of one platform, not a bolt-on
Healthcare Cloud
Laboratory Cloud shares Healthcare Cloud's real Patient and Appointment models — a diagnostic lab's patients, not a separate contact list.

A standalone pharmacy dispensing medicine (not running diagnostic tests) uses Medicine Inventory and Stock Transactions instead.
